How to Secure Your Telegram Account After Login

After purchasing and logging into an account, securing it right away is very important. Here are the settings we recommend completing immediately.

1. Set two-step verification

Go to Settings → Privacy and Security → Two-Step Verification and set an independent password. Even if someone gets the SMS code, they cannot log in without this password.

2. Bind and verify an email

Bind a reliable email in two-step verification for password recovery and security alerts.

3. Set up a Passkey

Enable Passkey on supported devices for passwordless, more secure login. See our Passkey setup guide.

4. Review logged-in devices

Go to Settings → Devices and sign out any unknown devices.

5. Be cautious with third-party access

Do not click suspicious links or authorize unknown bots.
